Alright. I’m officially obsessing over old metal beds. Have been for some time now. I’ve been perusing craigslist, going to auctions and keeping my eyes super-peeled when I’m out and about at thrifts + antique shops. I’ve got visions swirling around my head for a certain little girl’s room makeover and I need to bring them to fruition.
Just thought I’d put that out there. Hear me thrifts! Hear me antique shops!

I had a metal bed like that when I was growing up, the only part I didn’t like about it was bonking my head on those bars at night if my pillow happened to slip away. Haha
I have no doubt that you’ll find it! And soon! I had one when I was a girl and I still remember it fondly.

Hi Jenny! Hope you find your dream vintage bed, but in case you don’t your picture nr2 &3 have identical beds from IKEA…They are very handy as they “grow” and you get a mattress there which does the same. Had a look at these myself but had to go for something else!

we found an old white cast iron twin bed recently on craigslist for $80. all the original parts were included & it looks fabulous in our daughters room! i really enjoy all these rooms you posted.
AAHHH me too! I’m looking everywhere for one for Jasper! Ugh. But I’ll say… I’m stoked someone mentioned Ikea has them. *going off to peruse*
Good luck in your search! You know one is going to turn up sooner or later. I love the idea of having a metal bed, they’re so simple and pretty, especially when painted.

Hi!! I currently have an iron bed, but it’s brown. I’ve been thinking of painting it white. Not sure though…it might look a bit childish. Readers what do you all think???
