1950s shiny brite ornaments from lisacook

1960s reindeer from LookBackVintage

santa linen wall hanging from observation

1950s butterfly dress from Planetclairevintage

scandinavian plate from JollyPollyPickens

mid century santa tray from TheCottageCheese

a few of my recent favorite festive finds (click the photos to go directly to the listings). etsy is full of them. and since the mister and i have a sort of understanding, if you will, that i am to bring No More Christmas Related Items into our house, i thought i’d share these with you.

i’m having a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that november is over. really? christmas is in just 25 days people. how did that happen?

a quickie reminder: WINTER COATS ARE 25% off. sale ends tomorrow. get it while the gettin’s good! :)

We have the same agreement. I had to pass up some divine boxes of Shiny Brites when I was thrifting this weekend. I told myself I was leaving a gift for someone else to share.

oh these are awesome! i’m in love with the wall hanging thing. we also have the same kind of “understanding” in our house. and if i cave in, i get the “eyes of shame” from the mister…

every year when we’re packing everything up again to haul it back down to the basement and store it for another year, the mister always has a little something to say about me being a little out of control with the christmas decor loot, specifically, ornaments. i can’t help it if my mom passed down all my ornaments from when i was a kid! and i surely can’t help it if i have a sweet spot for shiny brites and a lucky eye to find them, now can i??? when i brought home that third blow mold santa, hoo boy. you should have seen him. words failed. what am i supposed to do with a basement that’s 1800 square feet?!?!?! ;)

lucky you with that basement! holy moly, that is some serious space! :)

me and the husband have the same understanding. however, we have an annual handmade ornament exchange party and that is where i get to sneak in a whole load of new ornaments since we usually have 15+ peeps. and they are cute and handmade and each year we put them up and remember who made them and whatnot. it really is fun. so i guess not being able to bring home that box of the prettiest hand painted ornaments this week is okay… sorta.

also: LOVE that dress. pretty pretty.
