All I have to do is watch someone's kids who I don't even know in a school nativity play or something...even if it's on tv or YouTube...and I cry. I don't have kids and I have never been to a childs play or graduation...but it still gets me everytime. Maybe it's something hard-wired into us women. It's good though, to be in touch...and to feel other people's joy. Great post. x Me too. She used to come to Sioux Falls and take me to South Dakota Symphony performances when I was only 9 or 10 and I had just started playing the violin. We had to learn about our heritage and then we had to make some type of native food from that country. My grandma and I made a Slovanian pastry. Of course all the other kid's families were from Ireland, Germany, China, etc., and I was the kid from the country no other 3rd graders had heard of, Yugoslavia. ha. Being a mom has made me such a softie!!! (if you recall I cried when we took Wolfie to DISNEYLAND the first time, his sweet little wonderment at all the eye candy there had me verklempt THREE times Sigh). Sweet little Henry holding his mama is so adorable. I love this. And what a great homework assignment!! On a totally unrelated note, we have been renting Curb Your Enthusiasm and FINALLY saw Crazy Eyes Killah.....Oh My God. We were crying, we were laughing so hard!!! (i think you mentioned that episode to me first!) Oh lady, I’m with ya on the happy tears. Being a mom has made me such a softie!!!
