our family has suffered a tragic loss.
we've just returned from matt's home in wyoming, and we're trying our best to put one foot in front of the other and make sense of the world, of life, of love, of forever and of no more.

i hadn’t seen your blog at the top of my list for so long, i began to wonder if everything is okay. i am so sorry to hear that it is not–i am unexpectedly crying as i type this. i wish i could bring you a hotdish (because that’s what we do in minnesota). my thoughts and prayers are with you and your precious family because strangely, even though i do not know you, i feel as if i do.
that was a lot of words for a time when words are just not enough.
you don’t really know me, but i check in often to your blog… it always cheers me up.. seeing your family and all of the wonderful things you do and how much love there is… after such a long absence, i was hoping that it was because you were just busy, i am so sorry for your loss ….please take care , you are all in my thoughts…

Been checking your site a lot to see what new stuff was headed our way and just read your blog. Sorry for your loss. I know as a parent myself you have to hold on to your kids in sad times and know their smiles will help you get through it and will carry on the family you have lost.
