last monday, we received news that a good friend/old band mate of matt’s was involved in a tragic accident, along with the entire band, from which the bass player died and the drummer suffered a fractured skull.
i’ve been tossing and turning over this story for the last week, wondering what, if anything, i could do to help. and it sort of occurred to me: i could write about it here, and ask you, dear reader, if you might find yourself in a position to make a small donation to help these fellas and their families through what is no doubt a difficult, trying, sad time.
there are a lot of you out there who read this blog- i have seen the stats, and it amazes me on a weekly basis- so i’m asking a favor of sorts: if each of you were to donate just 5 dollars, it would add up to a significant amount.
perhaps you are a lover of independent music, or you found some cash in your jeans pocket yesterday. perhaps you’ve been lucky enough to see this band live, or maybe you are a believer in random acts of kindness.
whatever the reason or inspiration, i’m certain that any little bit will help.
